LEVENS

Levens Youth Provision

Levens Youth Group is for all young people from Year 6 and over. Every Tuesday 4.45-6.45pm at Levens Village Hall.

MILNTHORPE

Youth Café

We first opened in May 2017 after a core group of young people voted for this type of provision.

The Youth Café is a friendly, vibrant group of young people who take part in many different activities such as, giant games, gaming, arts, and crafts, just chill and listen to music, and group games.

We also provide food/snacks with the young people being involved with what is on offer.

Activities are always youth led – with youth workers offering support to facilitate activity ideas and discussion.

Throughout the year we may take part in or initiate different community projects which help promote social connections within our village.

The Youth Café has created a fun, safe space for the young people to be themselves, offer challenges, and support their personal development.

The young people have offered feedback on their youth group,

“I enjoy the Youth Café as I get on with the people”

“Being myself and not having to pretend”

“Meeting up with friends”

Milnthorpe Senior Youth Group

The Moving On Up generation is a new group for all young people 17-19yrs. The group has been developed in collaboration with young people to provide learning and support with what matters to them.

STORTH

Storth Youth Group

KEY has recently started a new youth group for 11+years held at Heron Hall in Storth village on Thursdays. The young people developed their own ideas for their provision, and, supported by KEY, launched the club over the summer with great success.

Milnthorpe Festival of Light

The event was hugely successful with over 20 entries in total!

The young people’s creativity and hard work was evident and the standard was extremely high. Great fun was had by all who entered their amazing pumpkin carvings.

The young people also took part in a glow-stick poi workshop, learning new skills and wowing the crowd with their light show.

It was fantastic to see so many people attend the event and an excellent opportunity for community engagement – embraced by the community of Milnthorpe and the surrounding areas!

An enormous thank you to:

St Thomas’, for allowing us to use their church/grounds and for being so welcoming!

Our Judges: Brian from St Thomas’, Rachel from Plato’s Girl and Lewis, one of our youth group organisers.

Plato’s Girl, Spar, Flames, Booths, Waffle Mania and KEY for donating the fab prizes – allowing all who entered to received a prize!

Our KEY young people for all their hard work in making this happen and for their light show!

We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did! Here’s to the next one in 2022!
